So three weeks have passed and Nathan is now 7 weeks old. Last week he weighed in at 9 lbs 13 oz and we will go Monday to have him weighed again. He is getting so big we are moving from newborn clothes to 0-3 month outfits. He is more alert, tracks with his eyes, has improved hand -eye and head control and is ready to walk and talk! He has gotten very verbal and smiles all the time!
After one week on my own with Nathan, we have been fortunate enough to have my sister Melissa, nephew Dylan (14) and her boyfriend Ted with us for two weeks with one more to go for a total of 3 weeks of help. "Auntie M" has enjoyed holding and playing with Nathan. Nathan responds to she and Dylan with smiles of recognition. He and Ted ("Mr. Hand") like to nap in the recliner together. They have also added in some fun activities such as the pool, Boulder, Colorado Springs, candy factory tour, and maybe Six Flags and golf in the next week. Melissa has helped me clean and organize things in the house while Ted and Dylan have installed a pocket door from our bedroom to bath. Dylan has also been keeping our grounds looking great!
Now that Nathan is 6 weeks old we are able to take him out. He has been to Dave & Busters, church, the candy factory tour, restaurants and shopping! Shopping is not his favorite.
Jason and I had a night out last night where we saw Sweeney Todd live at the Denver Performing Arts Complex. And today Jason is offically a "Master Mason".
So as you can see things are still going well in the DuBose household!
